My Practice

I describe myself as The Woodland Photographer, because that is where I feel most comfortable working and most of my images have been captured around trees and the broader landscape.

My last exhibition was held at Gallery 40, Brighton in 2015 and, inspired by the feedback on my experiential woodland photography, I am now in the process of setting up a commercial site for people to buy my work. I am also in discussions on a collaborative project called ‘Life Interrupted’ with exciting plans to take the work on tour in 2017

for a few seconds, while I am out taking pictures, I try to hold on to the present moment. The emotion of being surrounded by trees and countryside, the feeling of the light dancing in and out of the trees, the gentle movement in the leaves and branches, and the colours and shapes that form abstract patterns without the intervention of too much though. Sometimes the result is, or can be, just as it is; a split second free from any further expectation.
